I know I've been almost off the grid lately and not been youtube video making, and I apoligize, there is a video being edited currently which will be out this week. (Hopefully) and here's what I've been devoting most of my time to
[attachment=1212]
It's been a lot of work, and it's almost complete and ready for action, and I can't wait to start it up for the first time! It has a 12 hp Briggs and Stratton engine in it with no deck equipment left in it whatsoever, and only needs a starter and someone who knows how to wire a lawntractor. It's been a fun project and I'm pleased with it.
Cheers,
Pat

And of course a NAME and a FACE - it's almost got a face already, just needs a bit of black paint to enhance it.
Don't worry, she's already got a name
One Eyed Menace due to only one headlight.
Going to get some decals for the Name after I repaint her. Still debating on the colour though. Might keep it red like it is now.
Nice work Rock. One Eyed Menace looks cool. Will he be fast?
Hope so. It's chain drive, so no gears to increase the speed, but there is only one belt underneath him as well as the chain. (Belt gearing is for neutral)
I love it, I like anything like this, unfortunately My garden is tiny and it's not big enough to make owning one worth while! Show us the work you have done on it? The closest thing I've got is the kids electric ride on jeep,
This is what I started with- no engine, tires didn't belong to me, and paid nothing for it.

Took all the deck gearing out of it, and and took off the seat. and on Friday my engine donor arrived
[attachment=1214]
Took off the engine, gas tank, and tires from it. And then I broke a light (hence one eye) in the process of taking the hood off to put the engine in

And then I put the hood back on, corrected the eye issue, hooked up the belt (need a different one othe one I have on now is a little to loose.) and put a seat cover on the old seat frame and that's it for now. Will update when starter comes in and I get her going for the first time
Thanks for the pictorial Rock. The tires look pretty good...better put a wheelie bar on that. Smile
She won't be that fast super.
But I still need to figure out what spot neutral is so ill be starting her outside. Just to be safe.

My old ride-on mower with the same Briggs & Stratton engine won't start unless it's in neutral. There are other fail-safes too; the blades have to be dis-engaged, and there has to be someone sitting on the seat. You probably knew all that already.
