Cool haul there for Evan, boy I wish you were my dad I could do with an Aston Martin next birthday Big Grin!!
If he were to adopt you Nigels, you could call him Daddy Warbucks or "Pimp" as this definition shows Big Grin

Daddy Warbucks
Someone who is rich enough to pay for someone else's expenses, either in a large lump sum or over a long time. Can either be permanent (a rich relative or pimp) or temporary (someone spotting a friend).

Very cool, couple of questions:

Are all these displays one of a kind scratch built?
I didn't see anything for sale, why are the vendors there, what do they get?

What displays was Evans favorite and which ones were yours? Did you get some inspiration for a build of your own?

My favorites was the tropical island beach diorama with the Long Ship at the 2:15 mark and that awesome USS Missouri Battle Ship at the 10:00 mark. Do they list how many pieces went into making that? Is it a kit?

I cant really give an accurate answer since we are barely new to the lego scene, but yes most of what I saw were scratch built.

The vendors are there, they are showing their own creation and selling parts. I did not take a lot of vendor vids. I had over an hour of video and trimmed it down a lot! Big Grin

Lego City and trains for Evan, Mine was the Space Battleship Yamato! Google it if you do not know what it is. Big Grin

Some did have info.

Here's a more detailed video of the USS Missouri

"Dan says his 25-and-a-half-foot USS Missouri is the world's longest LEGO ship. He estimated it will be consist of more than 1,000,000 LEGO pieces when finished.

Video recorded June 17, 2015."
Thanks AC for the video Link. That is mind blowing. Just the research alone is fantastic let alone the amount of time spent creating the design plan and the accumulating the right Lego pieces. Add to that the level of detail to the real ship, the amount of characters and the reenacting of the actual peace treaty signing just blows my mind. Then they have 10 specially made packing crates to ship the ship lol. Who are these people and what is their motivation for building such a large piece?
