I don't believe I have seen this vintage Plarail C62 before and I know I haven't seen a brown box like that. Looks to be an old friction drive metal motor with the switch in front of the engine. I always wondered where those stubby Esso tankers came from. Look at that hefty price...200,000yen. Wonder what year this was released in that brown box.

Okay, I am so, SO sorry for this comment, but I do not like the way the Plarail logo looks on that, AT ALL. Knowing the basic Japanese Katakana and characters, the circle on the "Pu" (first letter) should not be that low... the circle on the symbol gives it the "pu" sound. The dash before the "Ru" ル shouldn't be connected to that character... Is there a possibility this was a release outside of Japan..possibly knockoff?
