don't expect any bid with that outrages asking price.
Almost $1400 US? Maybe I don’t need a snowplow that bad after all! Big Grin
So what do I need to know about these auctions. It looks like it might be a good way to get my collection going (aside from the snow plow). The prices for some seem fine. So how do I get a shipping estimate without knowing the weight? Any other details I should know about the process? Thanks!
Be prepared to get hooked and spend a lot of $$$. :-). Believe me, it is fun and is for sure one of the best ways to get a good deal on very hard to find Japan items; but the shipping and fees can be brutal.
And you know what really makes me mad about this auction, he then wants 1089 yen for shipping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more I look at this the more interesting this becomes. My first thought is...why...if this seller wants this much for the train is there not more pictures of different angles? You would think that you would want to show all to show a potential buyer that this is worth it. Plus there isn't much description telling us why its worth the price.

My thoughts are that this may be the first generation of rotary snow thrower but the lack of more angles of pictures its hard to check it out more.
The impellers on this one is much different from the newer brown/yellow and black/red versions. I much prefer the impellers on this one that the later version as this one has an open back plate and blades that are more real looking. Also a difference in the impeller color. The newer black one has red wheels and red impeller while the brown/yellow version has a yellow impeller and yellow wheels. The clear plastic shroud seems to be missing on this one too.

Furthermore... the newer versions have a tender that houses the battery as the there isn't enough room inside this snow thrower as the drive motor and mechanics to make the impeller move takes up all the room. Funny, on this one I can't see an on/off switch.

And next...the black C-12 looks like it may have a motor in it looking through the cab windows but I have never seen a working C-12 with a factory installed front hook, only the dummy C-12's that come with the latest versions have factory front hooks. In addition the lack of pictures I can't see an on/off switch on it either.

Hmmm...maybe I will just buy it to remove that impeller and put it on one of mine Big Grin Dodgy Angel

The same seller is asking silly money for another item that's total junk. This botched custom:

Could be the seller is just a chance hoping some mug will come along Smile
Ahhhh....Ha

My curiosity about this got me interested ...maybe there is something too this....Look!

I have seen that C-12 before with a fixed front hook but never knew it was functional and had a purpose. I always thought it was just a detail. Funny, I still don't see an on/off swith. I have to assume the C-12 is the drive vehicle and the rotary blades turn with the friction wheels on the plow. Wonder if there is a video of this set in action?  Now I want a junk one for parts Big Grin

This set also includes the hard to find station with the pole (I forget what thats called)

Still learning earning something new all the time Smile Heart
