way back in may, i won these from ebay canada. its now august, and they finally arrived! i contacted the seller a week or two back, as the tracking info hadnt moved for a while. they made some enquiries with both canada and new zealand post, and they were on my door step 7.30 this morning.

worth the wait, i must say, and everything was very well packed.

first up, tyco canadiana. these locos are reasonably rare. they also released a shark nose, which im yet to acquire. they werent sold with handrails, so the previous owner fitted and painted these ones to match the loco paint scheme. so where the loco is red, so are the rails. same goes with the white. looks stunning!
i have two of these now, so be good to have them running together. havent tested this one yet as i dont have an HO layout at home.

these are for rob. he runs santa fe, and i dont recall seeing these in his collection yet. both are missing a ramp from the rear, but i thought he could take one and put it on the other to make one complete, and then the other wont look so funny either.

That Canadiana is awesome looking and he did a great job on the handrails and the painting of them to match whats behind them.
thanks, super. he did an amazing job. my other canadiana loco doesnt have handrails, so its going to look rather shabby behid this one, lol.

my other loco with matching box car and caboose.

Now that looks fantastic with boxcar and caboose. Was that picture from the club?
yes, thats part of the club. the two rear tracks are 2 rail, while the front one is marklin 3 rail.
the set does look good together. eventually, i will get a few more box cars, since they are fairly plentiful on ebay. the cabooses are not, usually selling for about $20. mine i got locally for $5, a real score.
any video of the club's setup?

this is a fairly old video of my john wilkes. the layout has changed a bit since then. the big bridge is no longer live, it needed major repairs, which are on-going. the track has been rerouted behind it. also the sweeping curve at 1.32 has had the front scenery removed ready to be double tracked.
