Managed to score this set on Facebook Marketplace for only £40, Thomas still runs well and everything is there, the set came boxed and also came with two buildings also complete with their boxes, pretty happy with this, can't wait to actually build a layout in the future to run it on, haven't got far with that, but it is kind of clashing with my plarail stuff, but I'm sure I'll figure something out

That's awesome! Model railways can be pretty fun!
That's really nice & special! Say, couldn't you build a small layout, just to see it running?  Smile
Very nice Dalek. Are the buildings that came with the sale Thomas related?
@MrNo I can't unfortunately, I just don't have the space at the moment, but I'll make sure to show it on my layout once I've got that sorted out
Welcome to the world of Thomas OO Gauge World, there are some nice bargains to be had at the moment on second hand Hornby models.  Although to be fair some are selling at absolutely eye watering prices, for example i recently saw some examples of the Hornby Stepney loco (genuine Hornby release based on the Terrier model) which seem to be in the £250-300 price range.  As for the Murdoch I saw that was just silly money lol!
@Super Yes, the buildings are Thomas related too, a signal box and engine shed I believe

@Nigels definitely, lots of bargains, but as you say, some sell for silly money, especially Murdoch, who is listed, more than once, at £1000 or more, stepney and spencer also demand high prices, with the main engines except thomas and percy often commanding over £100
