I saw a tweet that said Oliver would be rereleased in 2023, is this correct or is it false?
Saw the image on twitter: nah
It's a photoshop.
Not exactly convincing is it?

I rather like this fake-up though. Good effort.

He said it's a mockup, because apparently the info was actually true, but no leaks of one have come online.

They're probably gonna use the same Oliver they've used before. -_-

Call me an old cynic if you wish, but I can't help feeling it's a little curious that an enthusiast in Canada would have exclusive access to leaks of Takara Tomy's plans for their 2023 releases when these leaks appear to have completely bypassed any bloggers in Japan.

Anyway, we shall see, but as usual in such cases I'm not holding my breath.
I have no access to the leaks, the guy who gave the info is probably in Japan.
If it is true than this gives me hope for Plarail

If not than someone should just recreate Oliver on shapeways
The image uses an Adventures Oliver face. Something a real mock-up would never use. There's no sign of one. Even if one did get released next year, it wouldn't be related to this.

Hi Jdog

It's absolutely a bait tweet made for interactions. The only time I can remember them retooling engines that have faces molded into their smokeboxes were 1-6's updates in Plarail. They never updated Toby or the Little Westerners and even if they brought Oliver back they'd most likely use the old tooling, similarly to Toby, just like how they brought Harvey back with the same exact tooling.

This is on my list of projects. I'll probably be getting around to it next year.
