hi all,
since i had nothing to do i thought it would be a good idea to make 3D printable replacements for some commonly lost/broken Tomy Train pieces.
i’ve started with the truck door (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6237075) and i plan to make a replacement coupling too.

are there any other pieces that would be useful to make?
Truck door is certainly one of the most frequently missing pieces, so good job there.  Replacement couplings would of course need to be matched to a suitably sized magnet.
i suppose so, luckily i’ve got one that doesn’t have the magnet piece inside the casing so i can get nice accurate measurements for it
its magnet time yall!!
have a Tomy Train coupling, for all your Tomy Train coupling needs

the fish eye coupling would be nice too.  the ones that are used by Emily, Molly, Murdorch, etc.  they are very expensive on ebay.
Gordon's 2015 Plarail side rods could be a nice idea considering everyone wants them on Henry, Hiro & Rebecca.
i suppose. this thread is really for Tomy Train instead of plarail though. if i find there isn’t really anything else to make for this line then i may branch out into others

while i’m on the topic, i think it might be a nice idea to release my figurine template for printing. i could make a couple hats and things but they would be totally customisable to make whoever you’d like (for example i’ve made lord belborough from chigley)

Thats something new to me...I don't think I have seen or heard of anyone designing 3D prints for the Vintage Tomy Figures. Great idea Dr Mop 👍
thanks! i’m having a bit of trouble making it just perfect though. i’m not sure how the figures fit together as i can’t take them apart, which makes things difficult for me.
