No doubt collectors will be checking their PG's immediately. Your suggestion of looking through the cab windows for chromed weights to quickly tell if its an original PG or not is very helpful. As is the blue smudge on the motor to tell that its a powerful original motor. Very detailed description. Holy cow there are a lot of weights. I had no idea any Tomy train had that many.

This post and pictorial will prove to be a valuable resource for collectors everywhere and thank you for going through the time and effort to help the entire world wide community. And also thank you for coming here to tell your story and to prove to us that you are indeed a good guy. My hat is off to you sir!

Yep he's legit!!Smile
Love this Pictorial as I sure learned a lot especially in what to look for in a real Powerful Gordon and a possible fake one.
I've been wanting Powerful Gordon, despite his rarity.
Very unfortunate that the pictures that accompanied the original PGM posting are no longer available. I wonder if there's any chance of them being re-published either by PGM or someone else who had the foresight to download them?
Hello everyone... when I do NOT login, (I repeat), when I do NOT login into BPT, I can see all the photos with the text, but when I DO login, I can NOT see the photos, just the links to the photos. Trouble shooting step number (1), does this happen to anyone else? PGM
It is strange because I see them and its usually me who has the troubles. It looks like the original pictures were Posted using PhotoBucket before they went all wankers on everyone on the Internet. This Thread is a very useful resource and should be preserved. I have captured all the pictures to my computer and will work on seeing if I can replace the originals with ImagePost pics.
I see them fine both in the desktop version and mobile version.
Okay, I have added clickable ImagePost Thumbnails of each Photo under the original PhotoBucket ones in hopes that this cures the problem some have in viewing the images. Let me know if this worked for you and if I made an error anywhere.
I can't even get to the site.
If you are referring to the Custom Gordon site I don't believe that is up anymore but Mike can elaborate on that.
