Jauce got me good

I woke up early this morning to bid on something, my first item on Jauce. I was nervous and excited to bid, as it was a rare item I really wanted, in amazing condition, cheap. And what happens? I clicked I consent to the bid check box, and upon clicking to bid it cancels my check box and reloads the page, thus ruining the bid. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I started out using Jauce, and then a member mentioned FromJapan to me. The main reason I use FromJapn is for the “Sniper Bid” feature. Other proxy sites may have this as well but Jauce does not. This lets you put in your max bid and it will not place the bid until under 5 min remaining. Keep in mind too most auctions have an extension, meaning that if there is a bid in the last 5 min the time extends.

I still use Jauce to search/browse items but purchase using FromJapan. Hope this may help.
I considered this option, but I had already put my money into Jauce, and it was too late. Maybe I'll go there next time though.

Rolling along with me messing up again, I bid on a Plarail station that looked cool and won it, but it was broken, so I had to win the other bid for the non broken one and I planed to use this one for the parts the non-broken one needed. I bid with 45 seconds left and the bid was processed in a few seconds... To tell me the auction had already ended, despite having a good amount of time left. So now it appears I have a broken station with missing pieces coming due to losing an auction with surplus time left. Hurrah. Good job jauce. That's strike two.
To be fair to Jauce, the strike are not against them but more so on you. As you admitted you didn't read the Listing close enough to realize the item was broken and your bid with 45 seconds left was probably more due to your Internet connection or ISP provider which lags in time and might not be in real time. Since others have stated that Jauce does not have a Snipe Bid Option and most of the Japan Auctions have an Automatic time Extension, you might as well put in your highest bid with 5 minutes left and if somebody wants it for more then so be it. Last second Bids don't work here because every bid inside of 5 minutes extends the Auction by another 5 minutes. Its not like Ebay, no sense in nickle and dimeing.

Well, at least you gave me decent advice. And hey, you know what, that made me feel slightly better.

Although I'll be calling upon the people of BPT soon, as I'm going to try and fix the broken one. I'll just need to see if anyone has the parts I need, clean it extensively, and I'll need to open up the electronics area.

Which station is it, if you do not mind sharing and what is broken on it? Just curious?

Here are some pictures of the one I won. This may help you identify it.

I will try and get the pics fixed but I have two of these. One was incomplete and the other complete. I have repaired the one which had all 8 terminals corroded. The other I still need to repair, but let me know if you have any questions when it arrives. BTW, the box is huge for this set. Dodgy
yea it is way bigger than trackmaster knapford station.
