The Layout is coming along nicely Uc, its nice to see its progression. Is the size pretty much the same except for the center (water feature) removed?

The layout is almost the same length to the start of the bridges. Yeah the spiral isn't great but surprisingly TOMY and Trackmaster 1.0 engines don't have much trouble with it.

In other news I just heard on facebook that the Adventures diecast line is being discontinued in Dec 2018 to be replaced by some kind of diecast freewheeling Trackmaster line :O

I’m intrigued.... I guess the only thing that irritates me about this is that it makes Adventures a bit of an orphan line. There’s been too much “let’s change it all up” with both the diecast and the wooden lines. Incompatible track connections and couplers, the underwhelming remake of the wooden line, all seemingly designed to get parents to “buy ‘em all” AGAIN. Instead, the net effect (certainly here at Casa OTR) was to create frustration and a loss of interest. At least if there’s a Trackmaster compatible diecast line, we could use existing track and destinations; at least hopefully so!
A metal cast the size of a trackmaster shell? Don't make me laugh. Knowing Mattel, it'll be Plarail Advance scale to keep costs down. Also, they can't have them be compatible with other lines can they? That would mean people don't have to buy the rest of the buildings, and that would never do. :S Big Grin

Thats metal? If it didn't say metal on the front of the package I would have said it looks more like plastic.

I stand corrected.

OMG...Imagine how thrilled I was to get a YouTube notification that Ucwepn had uploaded a new video. Even if it is a short one I got the goose bumps when viewing. That Tram looks pretty neat and fast. Is the battery box in the middle car? Nice to see the new Layout is still there. Hope to see more.

Thanks Super! Yes had to lengthen the middle car by 8 studs to accomodate the system, the front and rear car wheels are the tiny axle all in one job because of the low floor, some strategic lithium grease keeps them rolling nicely.

Really? That middle car looks factory made, well done.

Is that a second Layout I see in the background?
