sounds good. I will post it later.

The Christmas layout has been delayed due to an issue with the scenery!Confused

Christmas layout 3.0: I gave up on snow covered grass and/or snowy cobblestones (large vinyl sheet from Lemax) and went with a basic white batting snow cover over the whole table. It’s kinda lame but it works, I suppose. Anyway, still working on it while the little guy sleeps off his pain meds from tonsil surgery yesterday. I hope he’ll be happy with it when he wakes up! (And can remember where he put Christmas Thomas!)

I like it, especially the water/ice feature. Is that blue aluminum foil? Every year, every Layout we gain experience and ideas for the next build.

Thanks Super! Yes, the water is a couple pieces of very thin blue foil (maybe Mylar?) that I think you use in place of tissue for gift wrapping. I think it adds a nice sort of fake-ish Christmas bling. I have some blue cellophane gift wrapping too but I might save that for another application.

The 2:00 PM passenger train pulls out of town and heads southbound across a high trestle.

This train is made up of a late production C battery powered C12 and a string of three blue Suha coaches, all purchased from Super. I borrowed a length of track from my son’s vast Trackmaster 2 collection.

Really like the angles on the pictures as it does seem like we are below the high trestle looking up at a train going by.

More photos of trains on high trestles. My son was inspired by my previous photo set and wanted to do a similar set of his own. He recently got a Tomy Shooting Star Gordon and he also got out his Tomy Streamline Thomas to run along side Gordon. You’ll notice Winston is connected to Thomas and Clarabelle. I’m not sure why he chose that particular consist, I’m just the photographer!
