Today, I'm currently in the process of 3D printing some short couplers which was originally a model from Thingiverse. It was originally only 1 model but I edited to add 59 more to the file and has them standing up so it wasn't as much space on the printer.
When I print, it automatically prints a raft for support, it even prints supports around the model. Also, I never seen this printer known any models over.

I have a 3d printer now. I probably should've brought it up earlier but yeah I have one now and I've just been clumping that with my regular work in my custom thread.

So I've been printing lots of thomas stuff on an flsun v400. Any good resources for files besides thingverse? I've printed most of the adapters and various things from there and fitment is usually an issue. I haven't started going down the rabbit hole of designing files yet but hopefully I will figure out a cad software that isn't too hard to learn. Wanting to design my own items in a program and the time it takes this old mind to learn it, is why I have not jumped into the 3D world. Heck, I haven't learned the proper way to use my CriCut machine yet and I have had it for over 2 years 😒 ... (although I did recently purchase a book on it from Amazon)

Personally I use 123D Design which was a free download, however the maker of that has discontinued support for it some time back, although the last version published still works fine if you can find it to download
That was replaced by 'TinkerCAD' which is (allegedly) as good and possibly better than 123D Design, but I can't comment on that, one of the big plus points is that it is a totally online product as it runs in a browser. It is also supposed to be very easy and intuitive to use. The only downsides are its not as powerful as some other options out there and of course I suppose if the company ever pulls support for it like they did the prior product as it runs on the net you could be screwed (one reason I've stuck with 123D. If you want a free downloadable option apparently the most recommended one is currently FreeCAD, however it is described as 'not as intuitive' as some products out there, although it is claimed to be very powerful. I can't really comment on this though as I've not tried it yet myself, you can get it here; https://www.freecadweb.org/
