trains with lights - trevor369 - 08-09-2017

i didn't know where to post this question. so forgive me if i have the wrong venue.

i know alot of members here do modifications on trains.
to me thats incredible and i give you all alot of respect. i can't imagine the work tht takes.

but i have a few "plarails" that have a "head light" if you will.

what trains come with a "head light" what was the first model?

any information would be great, ty.

correct.

Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Series 05 and Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line Type N1000 come with a set of headlights. The headlights are very dim. You can't really notice the differences (with and without the headlight that is). There are a lot of more. I remember there is a green train that has the headlights but I can't remember the name at the moment.

thanks leyland. i believe i know the green train tht u r refering to.
however, do you have/share some pictures of the models u r refering to?

furthermore, i have a few more questions about non-thomas trains.
is this the right venue/thread?

There are quite a few Shinkansens (bullet trains) with working lights as well...

i don't know this line at all. any info would be greatly appreciated. this would include some history.

I'm sure there are some better experts than me on here that would be able to quote model names/numbers and the history of the trains in question. You could also just search on Google, something like "Tomy Trains with Lights" should pull up a list of what's out there...

It's worth checking Amazon as well, I was looking on there generically for 'plarail' and it listed various models as you'd expect, but included some shinkansens, steamers and suburban's either with lights, sound or both Smile
