The Mother of All Locos? (CENTENNIAL DD40X Diesel) - Nigels - 06-12-2018 I scored this the other day as a very good price, its missing some detail parts (mainly handrails), but I hope to obtain those maybe from Bachmann themselves. Have to say this is the largest HO scale loco I've ever seen, it measures around 13" in length and has two 8 wheel bogies. Working lights in both directions and a flashing yellow light on the roof of the cab ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: The Mother of All Locos? (GE Dash 8-40CW Diesel) - Trainfanz - 06-12-2018 That's no Dash 8! What you've got there is the DD40X! RE: The Mother of All Locos? (CENTENNIAL DD40X Diesel) - Nigels - 06-12-2018 You're dead right, I found that out after I posted this ![]() That's what you get when you get an unboxed loco with no instructions and rely on the good old internet to identify the model number based on sketchy info lol!! RE: The Mother of All Locos? (CENTENNIAL DD40X Diesel) - Super - 06-13-2018 Wow...that is a beast! I had to look him up. RE: The Mother of All Locos? (CENTENNIAL DD40X Diesel) - Nigels - 06-13-2018 It sure is a massive machine. Very odd with that gap in the middle too. It's almost as if they've taken two smaller locos and welded them together. I wonder what the cc's are on the engines on that beast ![]() |
