plarail event exclusive engines - GreatGordonFan - 07-10-2021

So today, I was browsing ebay when I stumbled upon this listing of two plarail engines that I have never seen before. The description says " 2 RARE Plarail Event Exclusive Steam Trains. These were never sold in stores and were only given out during selected Events in Japan during 2007 ". Anyone can tell me more about these??

I know the one on the left is a free kids gift from the 2007 Plarail Expo. I’m not sure about the one on the right.

Funnily enough, the seller is actually Tharazero1 from BPT!

I though Vio had a page on all the Plarail Expo trains in the Plarail Museum but I can't find it. I need help from the master researcher. Confused

Blush  Geesh...I just can't find the page I was looking for with the engines and rolling stock give aways at the various Plarail Expos.

Here is what I think I remember, the engine on the right I believe was a prize children received by playing a couple a games at the Expos. I believe that the engine on the left was also a prize and this style is a remake of the original engine design that I think was released about 1961.

In this 2011 Tokyo Plarail Expo video, starting at the 3:30 minute mark, you can see the childrens Fishing Game with all the engines ready to be caught. Look closely and you can see your engines in the box.

Yep that's me, both trains are labelled as being produced in 2007 hence what I've said. They're definitely unique
