opposite facing would be nice I have had situations come up that I sure could have used one!

I have run into the same problem and either had to scrap a particular deign element of track or had to go the long way around to connect to the switch point. Wonder what they were thinking when they first designed these. Was it to come with a particular set? Do you think it would be better if they ay least made them with the tracks all facing forward in the same direction. ?

They already have a unique cross track so I assume you are talking about something else. What might that be?

just a boring old T. the trains come from the left and right and points can direct them either straight through or turn them around a corner. it can be done with points etc, but takes up heaps of room.

super, no, and that one cant be modified to do what i want either, lol. chop the top "leg" off and make the one on the left able to point straight down, and thats it.

... Make cargo packages to buy. Say six pieces in a bag. Cargo like the logs, barrels, hay bales, tiles, coal, bricks etc. Maybe even come up with something new. Any ideas out there of what would make some nice cargo pieces? Come on Tomy,... why not? How much trouble would it be? You probably still have the original molds.
