The Skaldale model buildings are actually cast in resin, so are pre-assembled and also pre-painted to a professional finish. They really are quite collectible items in their own right, similar in quality of finish to the 'lilliput lane' type buildings, except of course correct to 00 gauge and generally train related (i.e. the range includes town/village type buildings as well as trackside ones) Smile

That is exactly the kind I like. I don't like the plastic kits anymore where you have to glue lots of pieces and paint with varying results. Unless I am doing a mod on a custom building I prefer the resin types.

FINALLY... I crossed over from just watching on YouTube to actually uploading. Big Grin
I am hoping now that I know the basics up uploading and how it works, I will get a few more videos done at some point and uploaded. Since this is my first one, I know the quality is pretty bad, editing, etc..., Practice makes perfect though, right..?

Excellent job Ripley. The whole layout reminded me of the Xmas ones that would be set up in the big Department Stores when I was young. There sure is a difference from last years layout. I enjoyed it. Loved the shot of the steam train coming out of the clear tunnel. Thanks for sharing.

Yes great first effort!! Everytime you shoot and review you'll see things that you'd do differently, and remembering to try them the next time is how you'll perfect your videos...
Looking forward to seeing more soon!!
