2014 Trackmaster redesign

I was at a Walmart today and they had more of the original Thomas and Friends trains that they had of the redesigned ones. They even had some of the original sets too. The original 3 car (engine plus tender and 1 car or engine and 2 cars) were less than $10 and the redesigns were $15

I didn't go through all of them but what I remember seeing from just looking at how much they had I recall some at the front as James, Gordon, Molley, and Staford. There may have been more but as I said I didn't look at all the ones in the back and I am not good with the characters names. They were priced at $9.94USD

The latest series of Greatest Moments packs can now be bought on eBay from the usual Hong Kong seller, fredwickwong. Here are their boxes which show their full names. Interesting to see the boxes are covered on one side, which reminds me of the Plarail/Motor Road and Rail boxes, and I really don't see much difference on them compared to what I thought were the prototypes. Flynn and Scruff look practically the same as their brown track TrackMaster versions with changes to the wheels (maybe not as clearly on Flynn) and couplings. I also wonder what the relevance of Flynn and Scruff are, and it makes me think that there might not be a definate Greatest Moments series anymore and of a unique themed three pack range instead placed alongside the Big Friends engines.

Thanks Jdogman

Boy I wish Plarail/Tomy would do their version of Sampson Big Grin I really like the looks of that type of engine and would love to give it a go on modding it.

Thanks Jdogman I will definitely be getting Samson and fix him to run better etc. I am about to start work on my Timothy roof lifted mod haha.

We've only briefly touched upon them, I didn't think many of us were interested after our first disliking of the range. There's also meant to be a mud themed version of all these items but they've appeared to be cancelled.

ok. im not sure on the engines. i like the idea, but not the execution. what they did with spencer would have better suited close shave duck.
the tracks on the other hand... they look interesting. and i like snowy thomas, but he needs a plow.

I agree the plow is absolutely needed for the snowy set even the tomy plow fits the trackmaster 2, they are just cheapskates
