Thanks mate, I stand corrected - I hadn't researched it as much as I should - but still an awesome machine Smile

I remember that we discussed “azuazupapa” once before. He also built a Manchurian Railway Pashina class from a Plarail Gordon and French Nord locomotive from a Plarail James. The latter train also featured a couple coaches kitbashed from Plarail Suha class coaches and some Esci 1/87 scale passenger coaches. Somewhere, I have a link to his website, which is in Japanese and primarily
features his scratchbuilt warship models. From what I can recall, the custom Plarail trains were just a diversion from his model ship building hobby and were inspired by finding his (now adult) son’s Plarail Thomas stuff in storage. Apparently, he sold some of these for pretty decent money on Yahoo!Japan Auctions a few years ago.

Hopefully, the son knew about all this because otherwise it would kinda suck to find out what happened!

Son: “Hey Dad, do you know where all my Thomas trains are?”

Dad: “Uuuhhh... son, do you remember those auctions where I made all that money a few years back?”

Well the eBay listing that I kicked this all off with has that conversion already bidding at nearly £40 with nearly 2 days to go, not bad for a re-paint and a few transfers Big Grin

I converted "Spencer" and painted it British Rail green livery with the name Miles Beevor, who was the chief legal advisor for the London & North Eastern railway https://www.flickr.com/photos/41294071@N...8u6-edqNSL

Wow, he is a beauty P-Fan. Did you paint the wheels, swap them with others or use a whole new chassis that already had the black wheels?

Many thanks, I painted the wheels with some Humbrol modelling paint and the British Rail green paint is made by Humbrol as well. It took a bit of patience with a "Dremel" power tool, to scrub the face details from the front of the model.

P-Fan this is a beautiful custom as are all of the ones you have done. I especially like the one of a kind rolling stock customs.
