I couldn't find any 3D Print models for Real Class type tracks when I looked on Thingiverse yesterday, which surprised me a bit . I wonder if anyone has seen any in other places, or any videos showing them?

Also, coincidentally, it occurred to me this morning that Revolution track is superficially similar. Maybe I'll dig out that big box full of them that I've accumulated by accident over the years, and see if they could be made usable (rigidity was the main issue, as I recall).  There's no shortage of 3rd-party Revolution to Tomy track connectors out there.

You now get a free pack of 8 Real Class curved rails when you buy any Real Class train at a number of different chain stores in Japan, including Yohko, Yamada Denki, Aeon, Bic Camera, Toys R Us, and Edion.

Is it normal these days for Tomy to label things 'Takara Tomy'? What I mean is could these just be old stock? Regardless if they are a current release I can see the point as they will use less plastic and therefore in the longer run cost less to produce. Except of course I guess there is the possibility they may warp easier than the good old solid blue tracks we're used to...

Why also is there a sudden interest in producing more realistic looking track? FP tried that and look at the awful result of that... If it is to make it look more realistic, maybe they need to think about correctly scaled length trains and rolling stock first...

Yes, all Plarail has been branded Takara Tomy from mid-2007 up to the present day.

(The first Plarail boxes to bear the Takara Tomy logo were probably S-07 E1 Shinkansen Max and S-30 E233 Chuo Line, both released 22nd June 2007.)

Now that is a great deal for sure as one who buys a Real Class train can join these 8 curves with the 3 included straights (well 2 of them) to make a full oval layout.

Thanks Dr Chris 😃
