There is just something about its plain-ness that looks good to me. Love the glazed windows and the yellow interior of the Cab make everything pop. Do you know if the real Terrier has a totally yellow interior?

Yes, that is the correct livery for a BR (British Rail) Era model, so that is what it should be carrying.  But I've never been one to necessarily follow tradition, it all depends what decals I can find in that scale.

That's a Hornby 00 gauge model of a terrier in BR black livery...  Quite attractive, pre-BR they would be that orangey brown colour that Stepney carries

Strangely, that livery's real name is Stroudley's Improved Engine Green (when only a few parts of it actually "look" green and the main colour isn't).

Wow...I would think that because this is a coal fired (right?) steamer...all that yellow would get blackened quite easily especially that yellow floor.

I was referring to the brown livery which was the correct original livery colour for all the Terriers prior to integration into British Rail.  The Brown livery as shown in Dala's picture is the one Stepney currently carries at the Bluebell Railway, or at least it was last time I was there - they do repaint them sometimes after they have been through a major service or for special occasions.  I'm not sure where the other Stepney photo came from, but that livery is not proto-typical as far as I know as I've never seen that style of livery before.  The colour is wrong, the font for the name is wrong and the lining is missing.  I suspect that is a rail group trying and badly failing to emulate the original Stepney.

Ah, well that would explain things, it may be just after they acquired the loco maybe, some strange things go on with preservation railways at times, especially when they are starting up.

I've actually just ordered a couple of wagons and a brake car so I have some rolling stock to go with the new Terrier.  I have to admit I feel quite excited to see them as the level of detail looks incredible.  I'll post some pictures when they arrive
