I have not but only because they are twice or even 3 times that price on ebay. Would be very interested to see the inner working of one.
Thanks Ucwepn

Occasionally I see one of these in a bulk buy on Ebay. I think there is a Diesel 10 R/C release also. Not sure if there are any others...are there? When I see a cheap one I will try to snatch it up just to dissect it. I don't see any wires running to a trailing car so I assume that the receiver must be similar to the homemade one you linked to as Diesel is the same size as a normal one so not much room for a lot of electronics.
there's Thomas, Percy, Diesel, Diesel 10 and now theres supposed to be Victor and Stanley as well. Yes no wires to a trailing car, all contained withing the loco as it should be Big Grin

Wow...they all have the little remote control? Will have to be on the lookout for deals on all as its not the train I am after but its working.

Would be nice if they reworked it to operate faster and to include or at least offer a separate AA size receiver too. Imagine...any train you have could be operated with a remote control.

I think they do have one. I saw someone use the Mr. Motorman on the plarail advance. I doubt plarail advance can use "C" batteries.

As for the new remote control Percy, Diesel10, Thomas and Diesel. They are okay. Due to the size of the motor, it makes Percy and Thomas very chubby. It is very hard to make them to stop. I prefer the older r/c model.
I think the Mr Motorman AA size receiver is square in shape so only select engines could use it I imagine. Plus I wonder if it only has room enough to use one AAA battery which wouldn't go too far if it does. I am curious to see pictures of your Mr Motorman with the blue car when you get it.

Thanks for the info on the R/C trains. I didn't know they were a different size. Are both Diesel 10 and Diesel also larger than the regular one?
no they seem to be the same size as normal as they are generally already on the larger side (in the bodyshell).

I will definitely going to post the picture when i get the Mr. Motorman. In fact when I have time I will post picture of Percy, Thomas.

I don't have r/c Diesel 10 so I can't comment on that. However r/c Diesel still has the same shape as regular Diesel.
Latest Ucwepn video release...

Trackmaster 2014 Arry and Bert *All new design!* Unboxing review and first run!

If it weren't for that rubbish yellow paint job and if it had more olive drab green these would make perfect Military custom mods. Are the flat drives quiet and smooth like the latest Paxton and Luke. Hmmm...is that a solid front axle I see on these???

.
Compare the new releases of Bert and Arry and Ucwepns video to his original 2012 video. Which ones look better to you? I prefer the flat olive drab green color of the new release but love the detail of the rear of the cab on the older design.
